The late Dato’ Tan Lo Tee, D.P.C.M., P.M.P., J.P., was an ex-pupil of the school and later became a benefactor of his alma mater. For his services to the school, Lo Tee House was named after him.
A well known and respected leader not only in the district but also in the state, he was made a member of the Dewan Negara Perak (1950 – 1963). He served in many social, sports and welfare bodies in the state and became a Justice of Peace in 1920. In 1964 he was awarded the P.M.P. by H.H. the Sultan of Perak and later received the D.P.C.M. in 1970 for his services as a Senior Community Leader in the district.
Dato’ Tan Lo tee also played his part well with responsibility in the promotion of education in the Krian District. He was a member of the Board of Governors of the school for many years. He has contributed greatly in the development and progress of the school and we fondly remember him for his appearances at our Sport Meets yearly to cheer the athletes and his House.
Dato’ Tan Lo Tee shall live in our memory eternally.
